UPS in Bangladesh : Air Alliance Limited
UPS started its operation in Bangladesh when Air Alliance Limited, a member of the Bengal Group of Companies became the sub agents of Cyndaton, the then Agent of United Parcel Service for Asia Pacific Region in 1989. Based in U.K., this Company was in charge of the marketing and accounting operations for UPS in Asia for the next ten years. Finally, in 1999, through a mutual agreement, Air Alliance Limited became the full-fledged official service partner (Agents) of United Parcel Service in Bangladesh. The company has direct operational link with their Asia Pacific Region Relay Office (Hub) at Singapore.
The Company which provides worldwide express services to its customers is now fully integrated with it’s Group Companies to offer multimodel transportation logistics in Bangladesh.Along with various quality services customers can now have their on-line package status over the telephone supported by the International Track and Trace computers situated at Atlanta, U.S.A.Presently there are 6 operational Express Centers. They are situated at Gulshan, Mirpur, Savar, Motijheel, Dhaka Airport, Chittagong (Agrabad and E.P.Z). With the help of these 6 Express Centers, UPS/AAL currently serves 14 points within Bangladesh i.e.Barishal, Chittagong, Comilla, Dhaka, Dinajpur, Faridpur, Jessore, Khulna, Kushtia, Mymensing, Narayanganj, Noakhali, Rajshahi and Sylhet.

UPS Expedited services usually enable shippers around the world to transport their less-urgent shipments with lower air freight charges that necessary do not require Express Delivery.UPS guarantees time-definite,door-to-door delivery that takes as little as three business days from Asia Pacific to major trading countries in Europe, North and South America.Usually, interstate deliveries within U.S. take place through UPS Expedited Services.
